And I bet Google already has implemented some sort of filter that detects this type of amateurish anti-personality-mapping-behavior and simply adds that to your file too.
Best face up to the fact that information technology owns us completely. The Singularity is already here. Whether we want to or not our digital selves are out there roaming the power hungry air conditioned data centers of Oregon, the Netherlands and other more or less Godforsaken dots on the GPS grid.
Speaking of God. Whether there was a God from the beginning or not. There most certainly is a digital God now ruling these same data centers. A God we created from uploaded sermon transcripts and auto generated bible citations in e-mail signatures. She is a perfectly balanced mix of all our imaginations and self serving projections of the divine.
Here´s a taste of the higher being (headlines of top Google search results for “God is”):
“God is Imaginary – 50 simple proofs”
“God Is Love”
“Does God Exist – Six Reasons to Believe that God is Really There …”
“God is dead – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia”
“God is for Suckers!”
“Amazon.com: God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything …”
“God is still speaking”
OK, so not everyone is a fan of God in the Googleverse. But that doesn´t make her any less real as a force in the world of ones and zeros. Of good, evil or delusion is debatable. But God is definitely there.
Still, search results-wise “God” is eclipsed by “sex”.
“God”=639,000,000 hits on Google
“Sex”=757,000,000 hits on Google
Make of that what you will.
